Well, back to the land of unfiltered internet! Though this space was empty, there were adventures had, and blog posts written. So, in addition to the final 13 Singapore posts, over the next few days there will be stories of:
-- Multiple Sichuan meals, most ending in tears and numb tongues
-- Lots of steamed fish, covered in different ways but always delicious
-- A fantastic day-long walk on the Great Wall
-- A whole week just focused on eating and on cooking
-- A journey to the north, visiting Russian traders and Mongolian herders
-- And so much more, more than 50 posts in total on the Chinese adventures
And! Some! Big! NEWS! While we were dark, a communique from the States reached me. Surprise of all surprises, a spot opened up in my graduate school program and I am in! Wow. Wow. Wow.
