After all that window shopping we were starving. We made for a little restaurant just outside of the Spice Bazaar, called Hamdi Cafe.
As we were between mealtimes, some large snacks to share were the order. One was urfa lahmacun, a spicy rendition of the thin Turkish pizza. The spiciness was fantastic and amounted to a big bunch of crushed chili flakes being mixed in with the minced meat. It brought some depth to the pizza and make it quite less monotonous than other versions I've had.
Paired with the pizza was a lamb kebap, with bulgur and bread on the side. This sufficed, but was not as splendid as elsewhere. The bulgur was a nice touch and the grilled veggies also delicious. Sahana appreciated the free french fries on the side.
